Should we be bringing in chairs & stuff from outside?
Should I clear my basement in case of heavy rainfall? What’s the scoop on the weather forecast around here?

Heavy as in bad rain or wind? Or both?

Hmm ok, hope it will pass with no damage...
Are they predicting this for tom morn or later in the day? (As in is it urgent I clear my basement floor now or can it wait?)

According to the hourly weather it says it will start around 8am

It's currently a hurricane that's offshore and it's exact path is still an unknown. If it tracks more westward we could get up to 6" of rain and high winds. If it tracks eastward then maybe 2" of rain and some wind. Either way it's good to take basic storm precautions securing outdoor furniture. If you've experienced flooding in your basement during storms in the past then be prepared for that as well.
Rain is forecasted to start in the AM but won't get bad right away so you should be able to attend to those things in the morning
