I have a friend who is looking to move to London - Golders Green.

How can she go about finding an appartment? a job?
Any local organizations can help her?
Any tips?

tell her 2 join this - its a v useful community noticeboard 4 nw london, she can ask abt homes, jobs and anything else she needs 2 know - also theres a jewish employment agency called FAME in golders green...

Your friend should look at the London Jewish News (free online thru TotallyJewish.com) for a job/flat.
She could also look at the JC.com for both of the above.

The UK edition of the Hamodia has jobs and flats, as does the Jewish Tribune.

When she gets to London she needs to buy/borrow the Shomer Shabbos phone book. This has info agencies, shuls, schools etc.

why to london it a very hard city to move too. its very expensive. etc. the food is expensive the cloths are too. and the houses are out of this world. there are alot of pple there who are really struggling.

true raizy, and it's also very polluted (gives me head aches, but I still love it).

Edgware and Golder's green are just so full of Jews, and frum ones!
I lived in a family in Edgware for a few weeks, for a linguistic trip. Although themselves were traditional they told me most of their Jewish neighbours had a kosher home and so on. Good place to be - but a lot of common transportation time to go to London "inside".
