We just got a brand new wood dining room table and need to protect it. I know most people get a custom glass cover. Wondering if anyone uses something like this instead, and if it looks nice and does the same job? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L.....ydWU=
Is there some other solution I don’t know about for keeping the table protected but still looking pretty?

Were you able to find the size you need in the plastic?
I wasn’t prepared to pay for the glass or table pad after spending so much on the table. I didn’t realize how much it would cost. Table pads or glass is the right thing to get. I ended up getting a faux leather tablecloth which is really on the smaller side for my table. It’s thick so it protects. What I like about it is that since it’s a drop short, I don’t have to take it off when I put on my shabbos tablecloth. It stays on as a table pad for protection. If I would have found the clear plastic/vinyl in the size I needed I would have done that because then you can still see the nice wood. The downside of my faux leather is that the nice wood can never be seen.
It’s still nice though. This is what I have- it’s thick.

Bumping this as I'd love to know if you tried this and how it worked out?

Or if anyone else tried this?
