How do you bake pizzas in the toaster from frozen dough? I've been doing it on foil and the cheese gets crispy before the dough is done. Slightly more successful on a low temp but then it takes ages.

I roll out the dough and bake it with no toppings until it’s mostly cooked then add sauce and cheese

The directions for my frozen pizza state specifically to NOT put on a pan but just on the rack. I do that and they bake perfectly from the frozen state.

Why would it be different? What are you making with the pizza dough?

If they are rolls then obviously they are cooked differently like any frozen raw item.

Pizza dough comes frozen in a lump. You can't bake that, it's meant to feed a few people after it has been defrosted, rolled out, and had toppings added. If you bake on a rack it will droop through and stick to the rack.

I put parchment paper in the pan so the pizza doesn't stick.

Then what difference does it make that it was once frozen. It is now just pizza dough and should be handled like any pizza. That it was once frozen instead of bought soft or made homemade and used after proofing is irrelevant.

But yes you can't cook a thawed pizza or a homemade pizza on a rack.

If you want a good crispy crust you need to have a very hot bottom or else it will get soggy. That is why people cook pizza on a pizza stone because the stone gets very hot so the bottom of the pizza becomes crispy.

You can pan fry and then stick in the broiler to melt the cheese on top.
