We live in a very small house with the living space and dining space attached- that area is probably 200 sq feet total. I’m having a huge issue keeping the area clean on shabbos. During the week I have a babysitter who helps me tidy but I’m alone on the weekends. 3 little kids oldest is 6. Any suggestions? My husband, bless him, but he is also a slob and with such a small area to work with, no mud area (it’s one room) it’s just complete chaos

I am in the same boat as you. Tiny living space with a huge mess. I don't let them take out new toys b4 they clean up the one they're playing with. Magazines/newspapers go in one spot after reading.

We don't... Just gave up, let the kids play and clean up after havdalah. It was easier for me to deal with the mess than be on top of it.

We let the mess go and clean up twice. Once before the midday meal and once after havdalah. If you visit us any other time, you’ll probably be stepping on lego and crushed potato chips.
