Pickled meat allowed rosh hashana?

hey,
does anyone know if I can use pickled meat for yom tov?
I have pickled silver tip rpast.
Any recipie suggestion?

we dont use vinegar so pickling requires vinegar

And I don't understand these comments. We hold minhagim as we do any halacha in the Torah. We say
ביי אידישע קינדער איז א מנהג אזוי חשוב און טייער ווי די תורה.
And there are many stories from tzadikim to support that.

Totally! I’m with you. OP didn't mention her minhag. She literally just asked if its allowed. She really needs to give more specific information to get the best replies. Also, its also possible she is a BT (like me), and may be coming from an approach many of us BTs come from; getting a lot of info from here and thinking it’s literally halacha - ie vinegar in RH id akin to chametz on Pesach.

Allowed is the wrong word. “Do we eat X if our minhag is Z” would be better. See the difference? Nuance matters.

I know some people don't use pickled meat till Simchas Torah but my husband worked in a butcher and said they don't use vinegar to make it pickled, they use diff method.

Yes. But everyone has different minhagim. We all have the same halachos. So when someone comes on here asking about a minhag whether it’s allowed or not, they need to ask their own moreh derech or follow their own family mesorah. Asking on imamother won’t get you anywhere . Some do , some don’t because this is a minhag and not Halacha. You can follow your minhagim like their are Torah. Kol hakavod. But we don’t all share the same minhagim, so it’s pointless asking that question here.

No vinegar is used to corn the beef. It is also not a sour or bitter dish.

If your minhag is not to use vinegar, the answer would be no. We don't use vinegar, so we don't use pickled meat. Only for Rosh Hashana.

Our minhag is not to use pickled
We don’t use anything sour or with vinegar
We use chrein without vinegar but chrein is pretty strong anyway
We don’t use pickles but we do use pickling spice
We use lots of lemons and limes instead
Don’t ask my how this makes sense!
It’s just our mesorah

I added a sweet sauce to our pickled brisket but then again we're also having it plain bc the no vinegar isn't our minhag.

Technically our minhag is also no vinegar but I like foods with vinegar so much that we eat them anyway. They add to my simchas YT!

It doesn’t make any sense. Lemon juice (aka citric acid) is much stronger than vinegar 🤦‍♀️

Update: spoke to my butcher they do not use vinegar to pickle the meat

Op I would advise you to call the butcher that you bought your meat from
