Shana Tova to all the wonderful heilige imas!

Rabbi Zanvel Zevullun was shocked when he overheard a yiddishe mamme telling her friend that she wasn't going to shul, since she has 2 babies at home.
(He usually doesn't eavesdrop on nekeivos' discussions, but this sounded crucial)
I, obviously, go to shul for mincha, ma'ariv, Shacharis, mussaf, shofar, mincha, ma'ariv BOTH DAYS!
It's Rosh Hashanah after all!!
My girls over bas mitzvah do the same. And so do all boys over age 2.
So who was watching my newborn triplets? And the toddlers? Zeeselle took all twelve of them to the park, I think Zimralle helped her, she just turned 5 Very Happy
So what if some of them cried a bit-or a lot? What if Zeeselle looked slightly overwhelmed at 4 , when I finally finished davening, with extra kavanah. It's Rosh Hashanah, and I belong in shul. She brought the triplets to me at some point, but I told her to prepare them bottles. She should know not to disturb her mommy. She's 8!!!

Every Aishes Chayil needs to know her place. And on Rosh Hashanah, that place is shul. That's the only place where you can daven for your precious kinderlach. You're doing it for them!!! I don't go to shul because I love not having to take care of all of them for 2 days straight! Not at all! It's from a deeply selfless place that wants to daven for all my zeese offspring who can't yet open a siddur! Wow, that last sentence made me tear up馃ゲ

I wish all of you a 讙诪专 讞转讬诪讛 讟讜讘讛,
And I hope to see you all in shul on Yom kippur.

P.S. This is at all not a promotion, and don't tell me I have to have Yael's permission, but if you're looking for the most amazing, inspiring, beautiful shul experience, I happen to know of one. He happens to be my dh! Rabbi Zanvel Zevullun bichvodo uve'atzmo is the ba'al tefillah, ba'al toke'a, and gabai of this amazing shul. Most of the congregants happen to be related to us, mostly my kids, actually, but we can squish in some choshuve imas if necessary.
Can't wait to greet you personally Very Happy (I'm the holy-looking Rebetzin dressed in all-white)
Sincerely, Rebetzin Zelda Zlata

Aaahhhh. Thank you for clarifying. I actually thought for a second that the Rebbtzn was starting to lose track of all her kids' ages, chalilah. Rebbetzin, if you could be moichel me, even though I don't really deserve it, for passing judgment. Heaven forbid I should head into YK with such a transgression tarnishing me.

Regarding our special seudah, I actually thought that we need 1 type of each food, leremez the first day of the year, not that I'm trying to get out of anything challilah, being that the triplets do tend to take up a tad of my time... and let's not forget what toilet training quintuplets looks like Can't Believe It

(Okay, back from cleaning up puddle #14 for this afternoon)
But my dearest! Holiest! Kindest! Most accommodating! Uncomplicated! Selfless! Zanvelush claims that we actually need 13 types of fish because of the 讬讙 诪讬讚讜转 讛专讞诪讬诐
Trust him to find such meaningful connections
I'm. In. Awe! Not worthy

So.... We've got salmon, gefilte fish, carp, sea bass, tilapia, sole, sushi (I'm pretty sure that's a separate type), turbot, and that's where my mind drew a blank.
I need your help, ladies!

How can you leave herring off that list? That is the quintessential Jewish fish!

Gefilte fish is normally carp. Can you use the same one twice? If so, herring in lots of different dressings!

Other fish are: flounder, haddock, halibut, herring, mackerel, pickerel, pike, salmon, trout, and whitefish.

Or for variety check this very long list.

It's a year now until you have to worry about the menu for your special Rosh HaShana seuda. Do you have any minhagim for the seuda hamafseket that we could help with?

Didn't we once discuss kreplach fillings? How many kreplach does each person have to eat? Is there a difference if they have kedushat shviit? Scratching Head Confused

So Zevillion actually has some interesting minhagim pre- erev Yom kippur.
Firstly, he makes sure to be super rested for the holiest day, which means no night shift for my darling dh this week!

Extra nutritious meals including:
Early morning snack
Breakfast
Mid-morning munch
Brunch
Pre-lunch
Lunch
Early afternoon snack
Late afternoon snack
Supper
Midnight munch

Yawn 馃ケ Yawn
Help Help

Breathe in
Breathe out

I have a feeling that I'm coming down with an acute case of tiredness
Oh! And ZanvZanv doesn't eat on disposables, something related to the environment, so I'll be off to wash Yawn some Yawn dishes Yawn

If you're coming down with a case of the tiredness, you might want to whip out a pregnancy test (I'm sure you have cases of them). The quints are 5 weeks old. It's about time.

Cause I can't just be tired from 5 newborns,
3 16 month olds and 2 3year olds, right?
And those are just the ones who still wake up at night
But come to think of it, Zanver and I have been... busy 2 nights ago, when all 5 of them were miraculously sleeping for 10 seconds, so I better get checking Wink
I wonder how many it will be this time馃
