My baby, a few days old, threw up some yellow
Then at the next feeding she threw up her last bottle, and didnt eat anything for a few hours now (last meal was 5 hours ago and she threw it all up)
Can I wait 2 more hours to see a dr or go to the emergency room?
Dr google says its some stomache bug?

Shes is sleeping the whole time and no strength to cry

A few days old baby.....you should call your doctor with any questions right now. You can call anytime and the answering service will put you through to the doctor on call.

Amy baby with no strength to cry should immediately be seen by a doctor. Call now and plan to go to the emergency room.

No one can know without seeing your baby. It sounds like it could be an emergency to me

It could be serious. I had a baby cousin who had a problem in his esophagus and needed surgery.

Any problem with a baby who is a few days old is an emergency. No doctor will prescribe medicine over the phone for a baby. The doctor will most likely send you to the emergency room. Call your pediatrician.

You probably won't have to wait. Newborns are seen right away.

OP. I don't want to be harsh. You have a baby. The baby sounds sick. Don't worry about crying. Pick up the phone. You're a mother and mothers do things they don't want to do.

Don't worry about crying. Don't worry about looking silly. It's ok. You're doing the right thing. You have a new baby and the right thing to do is call the doctor.

We're rooting for and davening the baby is ok (it probably is, but you need to call a doctor and not ignore).

I wish I could hold your hand and soothe your postpartum hormones and exhaustion....

please take the baby to the er asap. hopefully shes ok, but dont take a chance. and dont worry about crying on the phone, it only means youre human and you care deeply for your baby. I cried like a baby when I called hatzalah for my 14 mo old baby.

She might just need a different formula I’ve had this and always ended up changing formulas . And sorry some of you just have forgotten what it’s like having a few day old baby you could have been a bit nicer.
Good luck!

Hatzlacha OP, you did the right thing. Such a tiny new baby needs an extra overprotective dose of caution. I hope you get everything taken care of quickly and you can come home and rest. Thinking of you!
