Does anyone have any recommendations for freezer safe containers? I use deli containers but they get very brittle when frozen.

What are you freezing? I generally freeze in disposable pans wrapped well and then placed in Ziploc 2 gallon freezer bags. Or I freeze directly into the freezer bags.

Thank you for the info!

I use containers for pre-cooked chicken, hamburgers, meatballs . . .

Do you find that the disposable pans method prevents freezer burn?

I'm also looking for something that's stackable so that would probably rule out the directly-in-freezer bags option for me

It's probably the Ziploc bags that prevent the freezer burn. I only buy the name brand ones (have them on subscribe and save lol) and they're well made. The 2 gallon bags hold a full 9x13. But I do a double layer of foil on the pans, it can't hurt. I find it easy just to pull the food out, defrost in the pan, and pop in the oven as is.

For space saving, I'll also freeze flat on large cookie sheets first, and then layer the food in the pans (like pre formed meatballs, schnitzel, even halved stuffed capons).

Bh everything comes out well as long as my freezers are working properly.
