Teen Designs a Map Called ‘New’ America That Went Viral and People Have So Many Questions About It
ETA: I can't get the picture to post so can someone who is better at these things than me please post it?
Mods: I think this can really spark an interesting discussion without getting so political but feel free to move it if I'm wrong.

I don't understand the point if this at all.
For starters:
Why would TX extend thousands of miles up into Canada? Why would any US state extend into Canada?
Why would anyone agree to let Chile own the entire North American West coast?
Why did this go viral? Seems sort of silly.

It's imaginative?
It's assuming facts not in evidence, of course, but if there were a series of wars in the Western Hemisphere then you would think borders might end up shifting. That includes both civil wars and multinational ones (non-civil wars?).
My immediate reaction to the Texas-Idaho merge was that it essentially divides the US right down the middle which could make for an interesting evolution of the country.

It does kind of make sense for the capital to be more towards the middle of the country.

I have a friend from Chile. Should I be worried?
If Chile wins the war, will they be military allies with Israel?
Just in case, I'm hedging my bets. I'm brushing up on my Spanish as well as my Hebrew. Ani habla Ivrit v Español muy bien!

I think it's fascinating and reading through the dad's posts of his daughter's further thoughts, you can see she's incredibly intelligent. Interesting assignment.
