The water ran out of the pot. I basically shut off the flame right when it happened. Are the eggs gonna taste burnt or can I still use them?

You won't know until you peel them. Did you get them into ice cold water right away? They might be a little brown in one spot, and totally fine to eat.
For Pesach I take a hardboiled egg, wrap it in onion skins, wrap it in foil, and roast it in the oven. It doesn't hurt it at all, so I think yours will probably be OK.

Ooooh you're lucky. I once left them on too long and forgot about it and all the water ran out and the pot burned and the eggs EXPLODED. All over the ceiling and walls and floor!

They may be rubbery in texture or taste scorched. the only way to know is to taste them. They'll still be safe to eat, but you may prefer to make egg salad rather than eat them straight.
