Does anyone know of a Reina as a variation of the name Rina? Is that a thing?

You're right dankbar. It means clean or pure in Yiddish but it's used as an adjective in spoken Yiddish, I've never heard it used as a name. It also has no connection to the name Rina like chicory said, it's a Spanish name meaning queen.

It’s not common, but I have heard the name Reina before. There are quite a few unusual Yiddish names, just add this to the list. Think Rosha, Genendel, Necha, Yuta…..

This was my grreat grand mothers name. Its a spanish/sefardic name and everyone who named after her in our family used the name Malka. I never thought of using the original name, but why not, it is pretty.

Would only want to use it if it was variation of name Rina, which it doesn’t sound like it is..

So interesting that it's a Sefradi name.

This name is very popular in my MIL'S family, and they don't have anyb sefardi blood.

It must also be from another language. Probably a different meaning too.

Her family originates from Eastern Europe.
