It just dawned on me that maybe by hyperactive 4 year old has adhd.
His Morah never suggested anything of the sort to me. I’ll need to ask her more details about his behavior in school.
At home he checks off almost every box in the hyperactive impulsive list (not at all on the inattentive list). Fidgets, has a hard time being quiet (always talking or singing or making siren or ice cream truck noises), has a hard time sitting down, always touching things and poking people (like his baby sister and older brother), always eating (that was not on the list), pops out of bed early in the morning…
Gets very hyper when guests come. When I tell him I love him randomly during the day, he sometimes has had a hard time handling that and says “you’re poopy” or spits at men
Normal or adhd?

I know. I do have a 7 year old who was not like this at all.
When does one start to differentiate between normal 4 year old behavior or something deeper?

The very earliest they would even evaluate would be at 4-5 but most kids aren’t diagnosed until 1st/2nd grade at the earliest .

I was able to tell at 6 months old when my son was able to hold attention for way above average length of time.
Also one of my non ADHD kids is more impulsive than my ADHD kid.
Some things are natures. With my ADHD kid I always knew something was off.
