I base it on the weather. There have been chilly years where I wore black all succos and there have been years where I had nude first days because it was warm and switched to black for second days when it got chilly. If it’s 75 degrees I certainly don’t put on velvet, fur, wool, wintry clothes with black tights. I know people are excited to debut their new winter clothes but sorry it’s just weird.

Depends in what your wearing!
Winter heavy clothing can go with black but if your wearing your pesach clothing or spring because it’s hot then nude

65 degrees is fine.
When I lived in Seattle, it was always freezing cold on Succot, and you had to bundle up like and Eskimo and sit shoulder to shoulder to keep warm. There's also at least an 80% chance of rain and wind storms. Believe me, you really felt like you were in galus!
Here in Israel, it's going to be 90+ degrees all week, and not a cloud in the sky. I wish I could move my air conditioner into the sukkah.

If it's RH and YK temps, I'm wearing nude. My winter outfits are not actually wintry, they're the same fabrics as my summer outfits so that doesn't actually make a difference.

Ugh not me. When it gets below 60. Also succos you’re outside, I’d be sweating in velvet outside

Ha I was full wearing nude but put on black today because I ran out of nude stockings!! I'm in the process of moving and things are a bit crazy and my last few pairs recently got runs. At least it's raining where I am today so it's not completely crazy, but it is 70 degrees. We'll be at my in laws for sukkos and I'm wondering how many pairs of nude I should buy now (I usually buy in bulk on sale which I can't get now) to hold me over.

I'm basing it on the weather! My warm weather clothes look terrible with black tights anyway. Definitely too warm to bring out the velvet!

Based on the weather, it looks like I'll be wearing nude color pantyhose the first days (but no white white summer clothes, more in between clothes) and black opaque the 2nd days.
