It’s a new place. Doesn’t seem like they have a website yet. There were ads in a few magazines with nice pictures.

Ha! You know that tannersville is primarily a vacation spot for the Bruers community right? I’d say the yekkes are polar opposite to the Hungarian

How is the room? What is the carpet like? Tub/shower? What is the smell like?

I'd love to know if it's an option for me next year. Most of the Catskills hotels are mildewy and affect my allergies.

Clean. Clean. Clean. No mildew or mildew smell. No smoking smell.
They will be open rosh hashana and sukkos. The owners are a young couple who care and want their guest to enjoy. Some rooms are smaller some are bigger. Three buildings. Grassy area, pool, gym, shul, indoor and outdoors sitting and play area.

I was there and paid for what they call a deluxe room. I wanted to leave as soon as I came but stuck it out cuz already paid a boatload if money.
It was not to my standard AT ALL… and certainly not for what it cost.
I was in the main building which is supposed to be the best.
Aside from the lobby and other main sitting room, it’s old. As you go up the stairs it smells like an old resort, had a brand new nice bathroom with new beds and new but bare basic white linens and towels. The room had a musty smell with stapled to the window frame black long material- as curtains. Small room with refrigerator and tiny wood table and 2 wood chairs. Air conditioner unit built in to the wall broke while there.
Food on shabbos was plenty and delicious.
Breakfast and dinner weren’t bad, lunch was baked ziti and basic veggie salad, same daily.
The fruit and salads didn’t always seem freshly prepared daily…
It’s an old place that they’ve fixed up to bare minimum.
Never doing that again.!!
I felt ripped off, and watched at least 2 sizable families either come and leave right away or leave earlier than originally planned.

Probably not so nice to write all those details.
I doubt anyone thought they would be walking in to a brand new 5 star hotel.

Anything I asked for they gladly accommodated. It is not a new place. They are slowly updating.
What is wrong with basic white? And I will disagree with you- I walked around the buildings and while they are old They smell fresh. ( I don’t like old building smells). If you want brand new, luxury you will also pay luxury price.
As for ac breaking- that can happen in any hotel.
It is not full now- I think because it is already ellul.
If you don’t have kids who are already on school schedule or still want to go away for a shabbos- I think it’s worth it.
