Iy''h I'll be walking my oldest child, my dd, to her chuppah in a few weeks.

I have a really old wig that looks like steel wool or a mop. I simply couldn't afford a new wig ever because other expenses took priority.

I would like to be more presentable at the wedding.

I would love to have a sheitel that looks like I"m not wearing a sheitel iykwim.

I have no idea how much that would cost. What's the range?

Is there a gemach where I could get one?

Alternatively, could I wear a hat or something that isn't as expensive as a sheitel? It would be odd for our circles, but hey, I'm not going to rob a bank in order to fit in.

It’s run by Rorie Weissberg , I think

There's a wig rental in Monsey that rents out wigs for simchas. I can find the contact info in it's interesting for you.

In my community we wear hats and it looks fab! it's so much cheaper than a sheitel too. Go to stores that specializes in hats and get measured, fitted, and bring a picture of your dress. You'll walk away with something that fits your head, face and style for 1/4 of the price of a sheitel.

There are two people in Lakewood who sell secondhand wigs. Would that work for you?

Try Paula Young! Tons of styles and colors.
Inexpensive (you could probably get 2 or 3 to have on hand to keep your look totally fresh!)

I've worn them for years, and people totally think the are custom human hair wigs!
