It hasn't yet πŸ˜• it's been 8 months now. Following this thread.
I can't smell a thing!
I can barely taste, on and off and only certain things. Some things occasionally taste and smell awful! I'd rather not smell and taste at all when I have that which isn't often bh.

Actually, I was very sick for ten days.

Nearly a year. It didn't happen from one day to the next. It came back gradually. But for the majority of that time I lost it completely. I could only sense spicy hot food or a sense of sweetness . That was it.

2 weeks to smell or taste anything. A few more weeks until it returned to at least 85%. Now it’s about 8 months later and my smell and taste of certain things has actually changed - alliums smell strange and very strong to me, chicken tastes a bit weird. This is recent development, maybe the last two or three months. Other than that my taste and smell are back to normal

My nephew didn't get back his taste and it's one and half years already.

I got back my taste 95% and my smell maybe 65% around 10 months later with smell therapy. Hoping for further improvement but it seems to be plateaued for now.

I'm exactly a year now. And onions and sweat smell the same and it's extremely strong and gross. I can't smell my breath (or my husbands which is great πŸ˜‚) still can't really smell dirty diapers unless my nose is in it.
My taste is pretty much back.. Maybe 90%
Weirdest virus ever.

Did it suddenly come back, or gradually?

We didn't lose our sense of smell and taste. It was distorted. Everything tasted like chemicals and sickness.
19 months later and taste and smell hasn't fully returned.
Grape juice, many types of ices, chicken and much more still taste off. Things also taste more salty.

I lost senses for about two weeks. then it came back but a couple of weeks later all taste was altered and weird for months. by now I think that's better but my sense of smell is completely out of whack. everything smells weird and bad, especially bad odors, they smell 100% worse but also not typical. it's beyond strange.
