So I'm married 20 years [can't beleive that's me writing that]
and my diamond ring is small on me....[I know I need to lose weight]
anyone know if I can reset it and approximately what it would cost
and where I would go to do it? {Monsey NY area]

Why reset it? You can get the ring re-sized at any reputable jeweler. Resizing would be a problem only if the band is a full circle of diamonds--they'd have to remove a few stones--or if you have to go up more than two sizes.
20 years is not exactly "old" in jewelry years, but if the ring has been abused or knocked around a lot and you fear that the stones may be getting loose, ask the jeweler's advice. Sometimes prongs can be tightened, but if some of the prongs are broken, you're likely better off having the stones re-set.

it's just a stone with biguettes on the two sides - very thin
I'd reset maybe for something more updated or wider for my chubby fingers...

Resetting cost depends on what setting you buy. I like bejeweled for all my jewelry needs. It costs anywhere from $500 and up
