It's cold tonight. It's 68 inside and 51 outside. Is your steam on?

Are you joking???
Inside is a little stuffy. Ac is on.
House definitely doesn’t feel a chill if it’s in the 50’s outside
Another 10-15 degrees lower and we’ll talk.

My house was cold last night for children. It was 67 so I put the steam on 70. 67 is cold for children when it's cold outside.

Nope. Had all windows open throughout the night, my house got a good airing out. That's what warm covers are for.

No.... The body adapts to outside weather. IMO the steam on 70 just makes everyone stuffy.

No way. AC is still going full blast. 68 is not chilly and I would never set the heat to 70

Don’t know where you live, but where I am it’s 74 right now, maybe higher. Definitely no heat on right now. (As an aside, is it a NY thing to call it steam? Or to call it a rad-iator instead of a rade-iator? I only heard those two when I moved to NY.)

67 isn't too cold for children. Its a perfectly fine temperature. If it were 67 outside, your kids would be happily playing, and you wouldn't worry. Give them sweatshirts if they're chilly.

Chag sameach.

I’m in Monroe too. Was chilllyish when I went outside to help my husband with the sukkah, but I wore a thick sweatshirt and was fine. In the house the windows or ac was open depending on the room and what I was doing.
But, when I lived in an apt building if the weather dropped below a certain number the heat turned in and ugh, often it was so unnecessary and stuffy.

Op do you live in a basement?
I’m trying to justify turning on the heat.
My son just came from Monroe. He was wearing a short sleeve shirt. Anyway, I’m in my kitchen and getting too warm with the porch/succah door open. My thermostat says 74. I’m turning on the ac.

You guys will go crazy over our numbers. My heat is usually set to 73 and my AC to 75 so right now they're both turned off.
