My father used to wrap them in a damp paper towel and put them in the fridge. Wondering if that is still the preferred method or if any technique has been refined.

Yes. Wrapped in damp paper towel. Then wrapped in foil. Then in fridge.

Bump!!!!
Dh refuses to ask ppl how to best preserve, and each year ends up with dried up almost pasul Travis by day 7.
He doesn't use this method
Is this THE method of are there others?
He thinks this will ruin his set...

Keep the haddasim and arovos in the haddassim bag but only the kind of haddassim that aren’t in a hard plastic container and keep it in a cool place. We do this and it lasts really well .

Wet paper towels and foil in the fridge. Better still would be to keep them in a vase of water in the fridge but few people have a fridge tall enough.
