Not sure where to put this thread.

My really close friends husband recently passed away after a long illness. They have a large family. Most are married. The two youngest are not (age 13 and 18). What organizations are there in Brooklyn that help with dealing with grief for the young ones and for the mom.
Any support groups?
I also want to mention that the family is an erilicheh family, but the 13 year old is at risk. The whole ordeal of his father being sick for so long has taken a toll on him. He lost his interest in yiddishkeit. He’s not an angry child.
He’s in a very fragile place and it’s important he gets the help he needs.
It’s also important for the mom to know how to go about his chinuch.

Any information about what’s out there that can help them . Thank you.

Sarah Rivkah Kohn's organization is wonderful.
I don't Think you'll be able too reach anyone over YT, but SHLOIME'S CLUB and LINKS are an excellent address

Can you please clarify what these organizations do specifically?

Also is my extended family only for children of divorced homes?

If they’re Williamsburg or Monroe type they’d feel more comfortable with ohr chodosh. The one at risk though would probably like shlomies club better. Bein Ish also offers services after a parent passes away from illness like YT packages etc.

Yanky Meyer from misaskim has a separate organization he runs called project yedid. For almanos and yesomim. He does incredible things for them. You can call the misaskim phone number and ask that your friend be added to the project yedid list.

For the mother:
Organization for almanos is samcheinu.
I don't know if they provide counseling or therapy referral.

Links and shloimes club are for regular frum kids (sefardi, yeshivish, chabad, heimish, MO, chassidish... The whole gamut) that list a parent

They have therapy referral, can help counsel mother, have activities for the kids multiple times a year, an annual shabbaton, and lots more (like this past year they had subsidized art and music classes)
