It's located in Jackson. It's a boarding school with about 20 girls. Girls are in charge of their laundry and take turns making suppers. The staff is very nice.
They have self defense course, horse back riding and they take them on a shabbaton oot every few weeks.
They also have group therapy, DBT groups and individual therapy.
They really cater to a very specific kind of girls and will not take girls that don't fit their profile.
They have a few rules (mostly safety) and they're not scared to send a girl home if she
breaks a rule.

More mature girls than the average OTD teen.
Girls that are ready to work on themselves to get better. Girls that want to come willingly.
No serious mental illness.
Obviously don't take my word for it, if you think it might be a good choice, you should definitely ask for an interview!
(They got lots of applications last year!)

I know two girls that go there. Neither one was OTD. One is my dd's friend and has a very complicated family life. Staying home was messing her up because she was constantly being shuttled from one family friend to another. She also has severe ADHD. Before Maayan she was in a self-contained program in a local school but it wasn't what she needed at all. She absolutely loves it at Maayan.
The other girl comes from a stable, loving home but went through some kind of mental illness incident (outwardly it seemed like depression but you can't really know what she went through). From what I heard she's doing very well there.

No.
They routinely do drug testing.
