My kids are with my ex where can I go in the Midwood area to watch lively hakofos that I'll feel comfortable?

Chaim Berlin probably has the liveliest hakafos in the area, and the ezras nashim is packed, so you won't feel uncomfortable in the least. If you want a smaller shul setting, let us know where in Midwood you'll be and hopefully we can suggest some options near where you're staying.

Rabbi Kahn at 18th and J is nearby and will be very lively and have lots of women. Chaim Berlin alumni at 13th and I should be similarly nice and crowded. There's also Rav Schorr on Coney I think between J and K that I would expect to be nice, but I don't know too much about it.

If going to the main Chaim Berlin (and possibly the alumni as well?), be aware that because they dance so long, they first go home to eat the seudah and then come back and dance for hours - at night until past 2, and by day all afternoon until it's time for maariv. So their times won't be what you're used to, but that also means that you can go elsewhere and then catch them later if you're up for more. Feel free to PM me for more details and options.

Young Israel on corner Ocean Ave and Ave. M is very welcoming - both upstairs and downstairs

Correct, Ocean Ave. and L, but OP asked for lively hakafos, and while the people at YI will definitely be welcoming, I wouldn't say that the hakafos there will be particularly lively, certainly not more than the options I mentioned that are closer to J and the low teens where she'd be coming from.

If she wants a friendly YI, she might as well go to YI of J, which is much closer and across the street from Rabbi Kahn and a few doors down from Chabad, though again I think the hakafos elsewhere will be livelier.
