How much did you spend making a bar mitzvah?

A lot of prices will be location specific

Leining lessons - full parsha - we traveled to him $800 over 6 months
Pshetel - a family member wrote for us. We gave $250 gift
Learning - if you want to do siyum with rebbe this is expensive. Can be $40-80 a session depending on who you get. My son is very motivated and learned on a phone hotline snd made a siyum that way. Another son had no interest which was also fine. Don’t forget when in 8th grade may also have to pay rebbe to learn with son to prepare for high school bechina (if that is common in your community)
