I had my ears pierced (as an adult) about 15 years ago. But the holes are still too small for certain earrings. Bought a new pair of earrings and they won't go into the holes! I tried and tried and tried and all I got was a sore ear (I didn't even try the second ear). Is there anything I can do other than go through piercing the same holes all over again?

Look up ear gauging people usually do it and put bigger and bigger holes in their ears but you could just use like a second one

Have you tried using vaseline on the ear and on the earring post/stick?

I use bacitracin or neosporin. Same idea, but might as well kill off any germs if I hurt myself in the process.

Make sure you wear posts for a while; they're wider than hoops or wires.

Thanks all. Ear gauging looks too scary. I'll try the neosporin or whatever. Couldn't do that when I was trying to put in the earrings because it was YT.

You can also try going in from the back to the front to figure out the best angle to insert it. It's the only way I was able to get in a pair in my daughter's ears.

Maybe the earrings were too fat. I once bought earrings that wouldn’t go in my holes and then I realized the wire was too fat to fit.
I’ve never had an issue otherwise.

This is the optimist view of the issue.

The earrings being too wide is the same thing as the hole being too small. Just from a different POV.
