My daughter wants to go to camp Dina but I don't know anything about it. What are the girls who go there like? What is the administration like? Any information about the camp would be appreciated. TIA!

Caters to a rwmo crowd, well-run, easy going girls who aren't materialistic.

My mainstream by daughter was a counselor there this year and loved it! I think a lot of the staff is more rw than the campers. Def mostly Teaneck and 5 towns.

DD has been going to Camp Dina for the past few years and really has a blast each summer. We're a down-to-earth RWMO family from the 5 Towns area and she's made friends from Teaneck, LA, Pennsylvania, and elsewhere. The camp has a warm, friendly atmosphere and a very nice group of girls.

The campus seemed small to me since I went to Sternberg myself, but they fit a lot in. They have fields and courts for sports, a great swimming pool, a lake for boating, a running track, and a zipline. Indoors they have a culinary arts center, regular crafts, dance, a large gym, a trampoline room, and a new spin center. They make up or bring in very creative activities and usually have a couple of trips, although lately that depends on covid.

Can anyone share more info on Camp Dina please? Would it be the right fit for a girl going to camp for the first time and is afraid of being home sick?

How old is your daughter? Dina runs a 3 day trial for girls who want to get a taste of camp before they commit for the following summer.

I recently heard about the following book which was written by a 12 year old girl for nervous kids going away to camp for the first time. It might be worth checking out: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/19.....GV0J4

Thank you

If anyone has something not so positive to say I really would want to hear it as well.

We live too far to do the 3 day trial
