I grew up in a very frum family, my parents are BT, I grew up in Israel where it wasn't common among my friends to have secular(some not jewish) relatives. But, I didn't feel different. I was happy with who I am.

Are you in contact with your non religious relatives?

We’re you more exposed to secularism because of your parents’ background?

Were your parents too strict about frumkeit?
Did you ever feel like your family doesn’t fit in?

*no
*no
*not usually, though sometimes I felt uncomfortable to walk around with my grandmother wearing pants etc.
*yes, although my parents didn't fly with us to America above a certain age so we won't be too exposed, and we had no computer at home, so not really. I hadn't known about anything before I got engaged, everything my kallah teacher taught me and I'm very happy about it. That's how I'd like to raise my kids too.

Yes, b"h. I'm very aware some people grow up feeling really different. It wasn't all rosy though but nothing too extreme
