If you’re a psychotherapist (feel free to specify which specific degree), what do you earn? How full is your caseload? What did you earn starting out, what do you hope to earn one day? Is there a lot of demand, do you take insurance? I’m in middle of schooling and would love to hear more about the reality in the field, if you’re comfortable sharing. It’s a famously low-paying profession but the specific professionals I’ve spoken to seem to do quite well.

My sons therapist with an MFT charges $125 an hour and has a full full case load. Definitely not low paying at all.
