Are you looking for therapy entertainment?
Movies with some therapy:
50/50
Good will hunting
Antwone fisher
Ordinary people

Show about an unethical therapist: Gypsy

Books- Good morning monster, The gift of therapy, August

Do your own research, some of these are not very clean and some are very triggering

Just finishing MYSTTS. Incredible book - it's going to be a hard act to follow!

Following! That was such a great book!
I also read a book called Normal by Magda Newman which was also a great book. Very different but also based on a true story and very poignant and thought provoking.

Came to thank you for this recommendation.
Really “enjoying” it.
Poignant and thought provoking is a good description.
Thank you!

You are welcome.
It made me more sensitive, more appreciative, more introspective.

Honestly, still in middle and sobbing through parts.

Did anyone read the book “Wonder״ she mentions? The fiction book. Wondering if my kids should read it or even this one.

Why? I enjoyed it. Although I think lots of what she describes going on in group sounds highly unusual... Still enjoyed the read (nowhere near as much as Lori gottliebs but I don't think there will be many books that will one up her)

I don’t remember her mentioning Wonder in her book (although it’s been a while since I read it) and I don’t see the connection between the two but Wonder is one of my all time favorite children’s books. Definitely worth reading, even as an adult!

No. It’s totally different than MYSTTS, like not related at all (although from the description of Normal, those specific two books-Wonder and Normal-seem to be related)

Wonder is heartbreaking and thought provoking and can’t put down compelling. They also made it into a movie which is great too.
