While spectacular, it holds only about a fifth as many cubic cubits as Noah's would have, according to most biblical scholars

Gives you some perspective when you see the giant ship behind him and realize this is only 1/5 the size.

They had a write-up on this in Mishpacha the week of Parshas Noach. This man eventually plans to build a true to size Ark. He quipped that Noach had it easy b/c he didn't need building permits, etc!

And in the Mishpacha article he also says about his purpose:

"To tell the world that there is a Creator and that the words of the Bible are true and steadfast."

He views the Jewish people very favorably. "You are members of the blessed nation," he keeps repeating. "Wherever you settle, you bring blessing to that place. I really envy you."

Hashem said:

Noach build a teiva, a teiva, a teiva, Noach build a teiva for everyone to see.

The people were so wicked, wicked, wicked, the people were so wicked, I'm sorry to say.

The rain came pouring, pouring, pouring, the rain came pouring down for 40 nights and days.

uh, more lines to this kiddie song?

Mine's a bit different......

Noach was a good man, a good man a good man
Noach was a good man in his days
The people all around him were wicked, were wicked
The people all around him were wicked in their ways

Hashem told Noach build a teyva, a tevya, a tevya
Noach built a tevya for everyone to see
And who d'you think lived there, lived there, lived there
And who d'you think lived there
Noach and his famil-eeee

Then the rain came falling, falling, falling,
Then the rain came falling for forty nights and days

(Cant remember the rest. I'll have to go check my kids' song sheets.....))

Our Yishuv group had a posting about the ark this man built, but it seems that his ark is HALF as large as the one Hashem commanded Noach to build.

[quote="mummy-bh"]Mine's a bit different......

Noach was a good man, a good man, a good man
Noach was a tzadik in his days.
But the people all around him were wicked, wicked
The people were so wicked, I'm sorry to say!

So Hashem said:
Noach build a teyva, a tevya, a tevya
Noach build a tevya for everyone to see.
And who d'you think lived there, lived there, lived there?
The animals all lived there
And Noach's family

Then the rain came pouring, pouring, pouring,
The rain came pouring down for forty nights and days
And the people who were wicked, wicked, wicked
Were punished for their wicked ways!

Too bad this article is no longer available. I wonder if it's the one in between Columbus and Baltimore, I don't remember if on 68 or 70.
If so, I haven't seen it in several years I don't think. The frame was up for many many years with no progress.
