Hi, I was wondering if I could get some input. Basically after speaking to a couple of friends, we have "narrowed" down our search for our first home - in monsey, to:
new hempstead
wesley hills
pomona
can anyone from monsey chime in on those neighborhoods? tell us about shuls, the type of people living there, which are frummer which are more modern, are there "blocks" or 'areas" within those neighborhoods where different types ie modern vs more yeshivish live? also I know in monsey things are very spread apart (like you can drive 10 min just to go to the supermarket rite?). So which of these is the "best case scenario" considerign that things are far apart. do any of them have grocery stores/gas stations, etc, within 3-5 minutes rather than 10?
thanks everyone and have a great shabbos!

Parts of new hempstead and wesley are RIGHT near wesley kosher- a major supermarket + a gas statin + a pharmacy + bubbas bagels + a judaica store and more.
I think pamona is very far out.
