My 11 mo is sick and he slept last night from 9pm till this morning at 12pm and now is sleeping from 2:40 till now
Should I wake him? When is he gonna go to sleep tonight? Or should you always just let a sick baby sleep?
Thanks!

I would let him sleep. He needs sleep to fight whatever he has.

Do you know what he is sick with? Bc my baby at that age was like that. I went to the dr so many times, until I finally went to the ER, was pnionia and she needed her lunged pumped.

Take him to the doctor NOW!
And yes, if he is sick he needs lots of fluid or he will be dehydrated. 15 hours without fluids is not ok.

Why? He has an ear infection and fever. She says he is hydrated and keeps nursing.

Like others, my first thought was "hydration!!" but if he's getting up to nurse, I don't think it's bad for him to sleep a lot.
See what happens tonight (if he has trouble sleeping) and that can help you decide what to do tomorrow if it happens again.

Make sure he isn't too hot
make sure he's breathing well
Ask you pediatrician if you should wake him up

My biggest worry would be preventing dehydration and ensuring his/her breathing is good.

If he's hydrated and not extremely high fever and breathing fine. Let his sleep that's how his body will fight this

The title of you thread is "sick and not waking up". I responded accordingly.
Now you are say that he "woke up plenty and nursed a bunch". That is a completely different story.
Hope he feels better soon.

If he’s fully alert while awake I wouldn’t worry. If he seems lethargic and doesn’t fully wake up that would be worrisome.

This.
I was going to suggest you have him seen and have his glucose checked. But if he’s waking up to eat, just seems like he’s resting and that’s good to fight his infection.
Just keep a close eye on him. Refuah sheleima
