One day after I got food from the organization after I had my baby, there was a side dish that I couldn’t get enough of.
I’ve always been into carb type stuff 🙈😬

So it kinda looked like shlishkes but it was made with regular spiral shaped pasta and maybe breadcrumbs. Thing is idk what it’s called. I tried making it one day and it just didn’t come out the same. Tasted bland and texture was icky so for sure did something wrong.

Anybody know what I am talking about?

It's pasta with breadcrumbs. In yiddish it's called "brazel lukshen".
I make it like this: heat a bit of oil, add 1 cup breadcrumbs and 1/4 cup sugar, keep mixing till its browning. Mix with pasta.

Braizel lukshen!

I don't have exact recipe.

Toast bread crumbs in frying pan. Add salt and pepper. Some add sugar, but I prefer skipping sugar.

Cook noodles of choice. I like the small bow tie best.

Drain noodles.

Toss with bread crumbs.

If you want to be fancier: make homemade bread crumbs.

If it's for a milchig meal, you can toast the breadcrumbs in butter, rather than oil. Will add flavor.

I think you may be talking about lokshen with brezel (which is challah crumbs) and maybe some sugar , salt and oil. I don’t know how to make it but have seen it with bow tie pasta

* I see I cross posted

Is it better with breadcrumbs or with cornflakes crumbs? I know traditionally it's made with breadcrumbs but wouldn't it be crispier and tastier with cornflakes crumbs?

I can't imagine it tasting very good with corn flake crumbs.
