Which earning bracket isn't eligible for Medicaid?
I want to ask for a raise but after reading the resentment other people
have about not being able to afford or get 'normal' insurance I'm thrown off.
Who is informed about this?

You have a lot to consider here. I got a raise a few years ago and lost medicaid. It was a hard few years. Now BH, I continued to get an annual COL raise and we are much better off. Please, reconsider not accepting the raise. The government assistance does not have to be a trap. It's supposed to be a stop-gap to help get you over the hurdles to a place where you can stand on your own two feet. If you have an opportunity to move up, think on the long term.

You can look up the numbers online. For kids you can get child health plus up to about 150k for pregnant woman you can have Medicaid for up to about $90k family of 6 50-70k you can have essential plan for adults. Plans on the marketplace you can get big subsity till about 100k but huge deductibles. After that good luck. Unless you go with a health share it's like another tax minimum 6k for one person and 14k for family before you even go to one appointment.

It varies by state

And the marketplace insurance offer premium tax credits for those who don’t earn a lot but earn more than Medicaid allows.

Perhaps your employer would consider adding a group health insurance plan instead of / in addition to a raise?
