hoping some imas know the solution to this.
My vaccum cleaner started emitting a terrible foul smell. The source of the smell seemed to be the tubing so I had my cleaning lady wash it well with hot water and mr. clean. I mean, couldn't wash it too well because how to get in there but she shook it out a few times with that. When I smelled it upclose it still had a mild smell but much better and it didn't anymore make the whole house smell awful when using it. I also changed the bag and washed the base.
But now it's only a few weeks later and the smell is back.
Is there a better way to clean the tubing? Do I need to buy a new one?
I have a Bissel Zing vaccum cleaner.

I would wonder if it's the motor.

I would call Bissel and have them address it directly.

I just threw out my vacuum for this exact reason. It was 7 years old and I just didn't want to deal with it. Also a Bissell, purchased from Sears, for about $130...I figured it had served it's time.
