My baby is sweating a ton in the back of his head while playing. And out of breath. He just learned how to crawl…
Is this normal???

Is he laying on his back on a soft surface?
Is the apartment warm?

I don’t think that is normal. I would go to my pediatrician ASAP.

I dont think this is normal either. I would take him to the doctor very soon. Does he get sweaty at other times? Does he have any trouble eating?

No- everything else is normal. Not hot house at all. I can tell he’s working very hard though when he’s crawling really fast to get something… so I figured it can be just sweating from crawling too fast back and forth- plus he’s a big baby. But ur saying it’s not normal??

I think I would just have him checked by a doctor, because it is certainly not typical. Now, as you said he is a big baby and new at crawling, plus expending a lot of energy and getting excited. So maybe it is normal for him. You just want to make sure he is ok. Good night!

No, not normal at all. Please get this checked out ASAP by his pediatrician. This is very concerning.

Has he had any heart issues detected at his checks?

This has been happening to my baby since he was few months old. Then I made correlations to his formula. I took him off formula for like 3 weeks because he was really constipated and had cough for 2 months. His sweating decreased then I reintroduced the formula and didn’t realize I changed his shirt like 10 times that day due to sweating.
If you find the reason please come back and share. You might be helping another mom in need
Thank you. Hatzlacha

I would have his heart checked out by a pediatric cardiologist. Not everything can be heard with a stethoscope

Definitely get it checked out. Some congenital heart conditions don't show up until later, better be safe than sorry.
Did he sweat when he was a younger baby and nursing/drinking a bottle?
