We're planning on hosting a famous Rebbe I'm worried we might be pressured to give a larger donation than usual, for those who have hosted what's the typical donation amount as a host.

We're providing a room, all the meals and a car service to the next destination.

I'll admit off the bat I don't know anything about this, but if you're already hosting, shouldn't you have to give less?

Usually the people that host pay for the honour of hosting a tzaddik.
Op you need your husband to do the research, maybe ask the gabaim what is standard.

Of course you will be pressured to give more than usual. People pay for the privilege of hosting.
