Yes you can.
You’ll be left with 10 feet wide from counter to counter. You can have an island of 3 feet wide Leaving you with 3 1/2 feet of space one each side.

I once saw on an HGTV show that when they couldn't fit an island they were able to do a peninsula

Going to pickyback on this thread. My kitchen is 13.3 wide and 23 feet long. Can I also still fit an island? And is it practical?

It also depends where your appliances are and if you can open them with the island in the way
For example will you be able to completely open the fridge, oven, dishwasher

The short answer is yes. Not enough information to comment on its size.

My kitchen is 12 ft wide. I have a 2 ft wide working island (no seating) and it's totally worth it. Is it huge and spacious? No. But my kitchen isn't and it helps me use the space and created an even better workflow.

14 feet wide and 20 feet long, or 20 feet wide and 14 long? The 20 I'm assuming is the entire width of the house. Correct me if I'm I'm wrong.
I have a 15x20- 20 being the entire width of the house. My house is a 20x60. That being said My kitchen is 15x20. My island is 4.5x I think 5. You can make an island 3x4 or even 3x5 and still have ample space between the island and counters.
