Hi
We are going away on vacay amd I need something to cook chicken cutlets, eggs, sweet potatoes etc.

Anyone know if the Betty Crocker is the right thing to buy? I already have the George foreman but it’s small and takes a while….

Any ideas accepted!! Ty!

You can make all the stuff you mentioned on the Betty crocker. Probably on a griddle too, which may weigh less if you are flying.

I love my Betty Crocker!
The George Forman pulls out all the juices and fat and dries out the food, the pizza maker is universal, you can use for practically everything!

Anything I tried to make in it that is fleishig came out horrible. It's good for eggs, pancakes, kugel, and those types of things. Absolutely disgusting for fleishigs and not that good for fish. If someone has tried and true recipes and they come out normal, let me know, but I'm a decent cook and can't understand why anyone would use this for chicken.

Ty! Hmmm now I’m not sure what to do.
Anyone else has such issues with fleishigs?
All I need is for it to be cooked so that it’s edible - not looking for a gourmet meal while traveling.

Very interesting, I've used it for breaded shnitzel which comes out amazing!
Little cubed potatoes were great on it, 'grilled' cutlets were pretty good even without the grill marks.
Mizza is great in it.
I do fish in it all the time, just season it with lemon pepper seasoning and a little oil and leave it in till it gets crispyish, it is heaven!
I'm surprised that you didn't have a good experience with it, OP definitely go with this

I hear that grilled chicken might not be great on it, but shnitzel (put a little oil in betty crocker w the raw schnitzel), burgers, meat sauce, all come out great.

OP I would get the betty crocker and work around it for suppers.

Betty crocker is HEAVEN for chicken cutlets. I dredge is in mayo then crumbs, spray some oil and walla...delish dish

I own a milchig Betty & Flieshiga Betty. "she" has taken the place of many diff kitchen appliances and pots! Wink

For clarification, do you spray Pam in it first or put in oil?

always use parchment, it helps it shouldn't get a bad taste over time
they make a round parchment these days especially for the pizza maker
it usually only needs a spray of oil or a drop of reg oil if using parchment paper

It won't crisp up as much with parchment paper
