I’m getting this gown and don’t want to do alterations. Problem is it’s a little long. How long is too long for a gown for a sister’s wedding? It’s probably a few inches too long, dragging on the floor but I can still walk comfortably.

Are you already planning on wearing heels? If not, get sneaker heels. They're really comfortable and won't be visible under the gown.
If it's a tulle skirt you can fluff it out a little more, or add an bigger petticoat, and those will help with the length too.

You need to be able to dance with other people without them tripping on your gown.

It shouldn't touch the floor, it should be just above the floor or else you will trip once the wedding gets busy and crowded.
