Trying to get ahead of the game, and I’m wondering what are the differences? Academically, hashkafa-wise, anything else that can be compared and/or contrasted?

I have a daughter in 8th grade and we're probably going to decide between these two schools although we're also going to check out Central.
Are you attending the Open Houses?

Shulamith is definitely more frum. Many of the moms in SKA don't cover their hair. I think they are both good academically. SKA has an optional gemara class.

More frum meaning more to the right on the religious spectrum? How does this manifest? In what way do the dress codes differ? How about the classes? Does one prepare the girls for college more than the other? What about for real life? I assume neither are pushing kollel, but does one push college more than the other?

Ska has been around for
Much longer. They have a strong group of staff, teachers principals. Shulamith is still establishing itself as a high school .

That’s interesting.
Is Shulamith very different than the old Brooklyn Shulamith?
SKA is definitely far more to the right than the old Shulamith .

Shulamith on Long Island has nothing at all in common with the one in Brooklyn other than the name.
Shulamith HS definitely has a stricter dress code than SKA.
