I wanted to announce and publicize (as I had promised), that Hashem helped me in an out of the ordinary way when I lighted a candle 40 days in a row l'ilu nishmas. Thank you Hashem for this big yeshuah.

You light a candle daily, say l'ilu nishmas Menachem Mendel ben R'Yosef. Then ask Hashem for what you need. If Hashem helps you after 40 days then publicize it.

How does the 40 days work for Shabbos? Do you just do it motzei Shabbos - or right before candlelighting on Friday?

I think you're supposed to do it right before candlelighting Friday.

The first time ii did the segulah, I was a older girl and did this segulah for a job and when I was helped after 11 days! my father went to shul to hang a sign to publicize.
There was there a other young man who saw the sign and he did it also and he was helped with a boy.
When he was helped he thanked my father for our publicize....

What kind of candle? Did you all use yartzheit candles or is a tea light candle ok?
Did you specify what yeshua you were davening for?

OP can you tell us exactly what is done?
Is it 1 yahrzeit candle a day? or as asked a tea candle?
Is it for 1 ''Bakasha'' at a time? (request)?
Can you explain who this Rav is and why this came about?
