Can anyone help enlighten me about 2 boys schools in Monsey: Degel and Bais Mikroh. What are the similarities, differences? Level of education? How many classes per grade? What is parent body like? We are not from Monsey so feedback is sooo helpful!

Degel has only one class per grade, small class sizes. Run like a small school, principals and secretaries know everyone. Midos and derech eretz focused (relatively speaking)
The schools are probably equally yeshivish, though the parent body in bais Mikroh is probably more yeshivish.

Thank you! That is so helpful! Do you know how many classes per grade in Bais Mikroh?

We are very happy in his current yeshiva (out of town) where the boys do not have internet devices (phones, ipods, etc). Do you know if boys in either school in any grade have?

I think degel introduced a bit of yiddish a few years back because parents were pushing for it. Not sure how much, probably just teitch. Bais mikroh has zero yiddish if that makes any difference to you. Also bais mikroh might have a stronger level of learning.
Bais mikroh has 2 or 3 parallel classes depending on the grade, and some classes are very big 25+ kids. But I find that the atmosphere is still pretty homey with the principals and staff knowing each kid by name.
Degel has a nicer building and more spacious relative to the amount of kids.

Someone in the administration of Bais Mikroh was arrested for child zex abuse. He was ordered to stay away from the school building for 3 years. He’s back now.

Those allegations were from a sick family and not a single other person came forward with anything similar. Anyone who knows anything knows that it was one big lie.
Please don't weigh in if you don't know the case. I'm the last person to "not believe" a victim.
