Crockpot? Oven ? Stovetop? Want it ready for dinner tonight and have very little experience with meat? Prefer to add some vegetables while it’s cooking if that works?

You can place veggies on bottom and season them well. Meat on top. Add 1/2 cup boiling water around the sides. Rub meat with oil. Smear top of steak with crushed garlic and season *very* generously with salt.
Bake 325 for 3 hours tightly covered.

Can I slice it out of the oven or have to chill first?
Or should I just serve it not sliced??

Chuck falls apart, so it's perfect for tacos or shredded meat. You can use it for pot roast, but it's a small amount for that. With just 1.5 pounds, I would pour bbq sauce and cook at 300 for four hours, shred over tacos/in tortillas, and enjoy.
