Someone I work with has gone above and beyond and I'd like to acknowledge it with a gift. He lives in Israel, outside of standard large cities like Jerusalem or Bnei Berak.
If he lived in America, an Amazon gift card would be perfect, because I don't know what he needs and he can buy anything from something practical like toothpaste to something luxurious. If I'd know he has kids, I'd maybe get a gift card to a local toy store. But I don't know much about him personally.
Is an Amazon gift card useful in Israel?
If not, what would be the equivalent? Needs to be super broad, I have no idea what he's into or what his family situation is.

1. Amazon delivers to Israel , many Israelis are ordering daily. If you think he would, it's useful.
2. I like the Shufersal gift cards. They can be used in hundreds of different stores. Very versatile in my opinion. I've given them many times.

Not to derail, but can these gift cards actually be used in shufersal or yesh themselves? I see the whole big list of stores where it can be redeemed, but no supermarket

100% can be used in Shufersal. I don't know about Yesh. I assume so, since they're the same company.
