I like them because you can spell the ending like "anne" or "elle", and I just like that.

Shiranne and Maayanne are really a stretch... I wouldn't do it.

Because it would be pronounced ma'ayANNE which is weird. IMHO, these are all strange

It's the spelling that's the issue. It doesn't properly match the transliteration of the Hebrew version. I wouldn't either spell Maayan like that. It's not pronounced My-ANNE, or even worse, MY-anne.
