Her hair is a curly wild mess
She pulls out all bows, ponies and headbands
I’m at my wits end! Her hair is constantly on her face, in her eyes....

The clear rubbers. They hurt to pull out so she likely won't do it.

Put mouse or gel, it will hopefully keep the hair in place.

You can try bringing her to the store and letting her pick out a headband of her choice. Complementing her how you can see her beautiful eyes for the second she's wearing it before pulling it off.

But really, you're gonna need to let this go. Eventually she'll want her hair out of her face or take a liking to accessories. Until then, let her be.

Cut it?
In a way that it won't go in her face as much

Yes, she's only 2. Give her a cute short haircut. Easier to wash, brush, handle.

I grew out of that stage when I was about 14.

Under duress, I accepted that I had to have it tied back for school. Out of school it just hung. Then I decided it was a nuisance, and started tying it back. My mother insisted that I follow school rules, but didn't pressure me beyond that.

OP, either cut it very short or grow it long enough to braid. That might bother her less.

I vote for cutting her hair too
My girls could not stand barrettes or headbands…I believe it was a sensory issue

My pediatrician told me it's sensory. We had to cut my sons bangs till his upsherin. he wouldn't let put anything in his hair. I have same issue with my daughter now.

I tried that with DD. She pulled and pulled and screamed the entire time. She would have ripped all her hair out by the roots if I let her.

Super sensory kid. She could barely tolerate a loose braid for school, and eventually begged me to cut her hair short. (The waist length long blonde hair with golden highlights!)

I got her a cute bob, and she was thrilled.

Do both of you a favor and cut it short. She'll have plenty of time to grow it long once she's old enough to care for it herself. I know this because I started cutting my dd's exuberant hair as soon as it started falling into her face when she was around a year and a half old. She was still adorable, and much more so than girls whose unkempt stringy mops were constantly falling in their faces. Few things are less attractive than an unkempt-looking child. I don't recall how old she was when I let her start growing it but by age twelve her hair reached her waist.
