Are your kids car sleepers? Can you time for naptime?

Either sit near them so you can supply activities or buy a car organizer so your 3 year old can access toys, activites and snacks.

EG:

1-color wonder markers travel set
2- kids music CDs
3- snacks (you can get jawbreaker lollies. They will last for both trips! Dont get sticky and will keep them happy and busy the entire time!)
4- books/music books
5- for 1 year old, attach small toys to carseat so they dont fall.
6- lap tray with activities like a small can of playdough if you are sitting with them.
7- look out the window! Talk abt what you see! Bus! Airplane! Birds!

Thanks so much!! Yes will be sitting with them. Honestly my 3 year old can handle it and will love everything suggested. But my 1.5 year old hates being strapped in even for a second. And no- not a sleeper in the car. Too Easy. Thank you for your suggestions!

Those mess free markers and the paper or coloring books that go with them and a clipboard.

Something like this: https://www.target.com/p/chuck.....63976

A doodle board (or whatever they are called)

Looooooots of books. Raid your local library before you go for picture books that they will be interested in looking at by themselves (make a list of everything you bring with you though so you can make sure it all comes back with you)

Snacks

Cds they enjoy. Books on tape.

Popits or other fidget toys like that..

Good luck. If you have to do it just remember it passes.

Nothing works for my one year old except lolly when I’m really desperate or Bamba to pass the time. Otherwise she spends most of the time either crying or with me singing at the top of my lungs trying to keep her distracted…

Candy! Ok and snacks! Like not filling one's like corn pops, veggie straws... Stuff they can munch to keep busy but not stuff them. I also found doing meals in the car helped. Then when you get out of the car to stretch their legs, they are actually stretching! You vacuum when you get home!
New books (cd books are a ton of fun and them have them in the library or toy can get like middos man).
We let my kids take turns picking the song, even when they pick the same ones over and over!
