I'm looking for a place to go within an 8 hour drive from NYC for this upcoming weekend, has suitable activities for young children and consistent minyanim. Any ideas?

8 hours can get you pretty far, so it just depends on what you want to do with your kids. Places to look into are Baltimore/DC, Boston, Pittsburgh, Norfolk, Cleveland, and Buffalo (for minyan) / Niagara Falls.

There was an ad this week in the Ami living of a hotel upstate with a water park and kosher food and minyanim. I don’t have it anymore. Anyone know what I mean? Sounds like a good choice for a family trip.

Kartrite Hotel. It's part of the Monticello Casino company. The waterpark is great and there is also an arcade in the building.

Kartrite is stunning! Is it having separate hours for men and women?

We've done most of these but Norfolk and Buffalo are interesting. Will look into those. Thank you!

Please Touch children's museum, Franklin Institute science museum, mint (fun and free, but check if open due to Covid), Camden Aquarium across the bridge, Philly Zoo is great if not too cold, Betsy Ross house and Liberty Bell for history, Eastern State Penitentiary for a little older kids
