They should listen to Rabbi Shimon Russel on Torah Anytime. He says to never kick out an OTD child. Hashem put him in your family together with your other children- your other kids are meant to have him as a sibling. He says that if you really must send someone away, send away the kids who are not struggling. You wouldn't do that unless it was absolutely necessary, and that's as it should be. But when a child is suffering and struggling, keep him home.

Yes Yes Yes!!!
Kick him out!!
Have his siblings live in fear of what they will do to be unworthy of their parents love!!
Show him and his siblings that community, G-d, religion- are more important than him!!!
Show him and his siblings that their being loved by their parents is conditional on behaving in a way their parents approve of!!!
Don't worry, within a year, three at the most, the kid will be a drug user, living in flophouses (or the street), being picked up and then released by the police.
SSSSSSSOOOOO much better than wearing jeans, using a smart phone and not wearing a kippah but still being a mench who is secure in the love of his parents for him.
